Composer, Conductor. Born in Oakland, California, he played clarinet and bassoon before pursuing a career as a conductor and composer in 1936. Working mainly in Los Angeles with varied orchestras, his classical pieces included "Evangeline" (1943), "The Plagues of Egypt" (1945), "King Dinosaur" (1955) and "Dark Venture" (1956). He died in Burbank, California.
