Odell Lingerfelt was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and moved to Fresno in 1950. In his early days, he was an embalmer for both Tinkler Mission Chapel and Stephens & Bean. He then became the executive director of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society and the Central California Blood Bank and the Fresno Foundation for Medical Care. He retired in 1977.
He was a member of Las Palmas Masonic Lodge No. 366 in Fresno, CA and served as its Master in 1966.
