Mrs. Lanier died Aug. 9 at her residence. She was born Nov. 26, 1963, to the late Donald Wayne Moore Sr. and Linda Bowman Nolley. Mrs. Lanier was a resident of Rusk most of her life and grew up in Slocum. She was a member of Oakland Missionary Baptist Church, worked as a nurses aide in several Cherokee County nursing homes and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Tony Lanier of Rusk; three sons and daughter-in-law, David and Jessie McMurtray of Rusk, Jason Kyle Lanier of Rusk and Dustin Lee Smith of Rusk; a granddaughter, Jordyn McMurtray of Rusk; grandson, Aiden McMurtray of Rusk; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Harold Dement of Rusk; two brothers and sister-in-law, Donald Wayne and Regina Moore of Center and Ronnie Lee Moore of Lufkin; step-father, Bobby Nolley of Rusk; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
