of Sidney, Ohio died Jan. 18, 2002, in Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 5, 1934 in Darbyville,
the son of Harold William and Dolly BUZZARD GILMORE. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, was employed as a builder and a member of Russell Road Christian Center, Sydney, an avid fisherman and Cleveland Browns fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother Lavenia EDDINGS GILMORE and sister Myrna RYAN.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann MONROE GILMORE, daughters, Becky SMYTHE of Chillicothe and Sandy HAMMONS of Carroll;
Sons Randy GILMORE of Circleville, Harold W. of Sidney and Richard of Commercial Point.
Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren;
a sister, Ethel M. GALLOWAY of Williamsport, brothers: Bill Gilmore of Williamsport and Bud Gilmore of Circleville.
Funeral service will be held 1p.m. Monday January 21, 2002 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Fred Gillenwater officiating.
Burial will be in Muhlenberg Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Harold W. Gilmore Sr. Memorial Fund, in care of the Savings Bank of Circleville.
