He married Sandra Kay Anderson Coffey.
He is survived by 4 children Richard S. Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lucas Wm. Coffey of Montgomery, Indiana, Steven C. Coffey of Bloomington, Indiana, Vadney M. Coffey of Montgomery, Indiana; his step-father Glen Frost; 1 brother Bobby Gene Coffey of Monticello, Kentucky; 1 sister Kathy Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana; and 1 grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, 1999 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Harold Ragan officiating. Burial was in the Hicks Cemetery.
