He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 4, 1953, the son of Robert Coffey and Sharon Ledbetter Coffey Frost. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives.
He married Sandra Kay Anderson Coffey.
He is survived by 4 children Richard S. Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lucas Wm. Coffey of Montgomery, Indiana, Steven C. Coffey of Bloomington, Indiana, Vadney M. Coffey of Montgomery, Indiana; his step-father Glen Frost; 1 brother Bobby Gene Coffey of Monticello, Kentucky; 1 sister Kathy Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana; and 1 grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 15, 1999 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Harold Ragan officiating. Burial was in the Hicks Cemetery.
