At the age of four years, she came to Ludell, Kansas, with her parents, later moving to Estherville, Iowa.
On April 24, 1895, she was united in marriage to Herman Harvego at Estherville and to this union four daughters and one son were born.
They resided in Huntington, Iowa before coming to Motley in October 1917. They purchased a farm southeast of Motley where they lived until the death of Mr. Harvego in 1930. Since that time, Mrs. Harvego has made her home in Motley with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Bombar-
ger.
Mrs. Harvego was a member of the Methodist church and was a Christian in the fullest sense of the word. Her life was spent in service for others.
Besides a host of friends, she leaves to mourn her passing four daughters: Mrs. A. H. Sternborg (Ella) Estherville, Iowa; Mrs. Ora Bombarger (Ida) and Mrs. Harold Lamb (Rosa) of Motley, and Mrs. Roy Harris (Amelia) of Estherville.
Her son preceded her in death.
Other survivors are ten grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. William Leuhring, Rothsay, Minn.; and Miss Bertha Munsterman, Ludell, Kan.; one brother, William Munsterman, Ludell; beside many other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, February 23, at 2:15 o'clock in the Gospel Tabernacle, Motley, with Mrs. Harold Aridevson (Helen Horn) officiating, and assisted by the pastor, Rev. Lester Anderson. Rev. Roy Nowack of Minneapolis sang two solos, "The Last Mile Of The Way" and "No Night There," and Mrs. Peterson of Brainerd sang a solo, "After", with Mrs. Charles George of Gushing as the accompanist.
Sympathy of the community was most touchingly shown in the many beautiful floral offerings. A cash contribution was made by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harvego of Fergus Falls to the Gospel Tabernacle to be used for Missions in memory of Mrs. Harvego, and another cash gift was given by Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lamb and their family to the Methodist church to be used for Missions in her memory.
Pallbearers were Clarence Frisk, John Ackerson, M. T. Upton, G. F. Hildebrandt, Harold Anderson and Ted Poynter. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery, Motley.
Out-of-town relatives attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sternborg and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harris and daughter Karen of Estherville, Iowa; William Munsterman, Ludell, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harvego, Rothsay, Minn.; Miss Lenore Lamb of Minneapolis, and Loren Lamb of St. Paul.
