Our beautiful Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother passed away peacefully Monday August 8, 2011 in Springville Utah.

Maurine was born January 12, 1913 in Springville, Utah to Alma and Bertha Clyde Fullmer. She married Alex Holden Mortensen in the Salt Lake Temple on June 22, 1934. Together they raised seven children.

Maurine was a faithful member of the LDS church and held many positions in Relief Society and Mutual. She was very active in civic organizations with her husband Alex. Their true love was the many years they spent Square Dancing and traveling to many places to enjoy this time together. They served a full time LDS Mission to the Boise Idaho Mission. The first part of their mission was at the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor Center and then proselyting in the Twin Falls Idaho area.

Maurine was an avid reader and genealogist. She would ride the bus to Salt Lake City to the Genealogy Library to do the research for her ancestors.

She is survived by her children Paul (Wilma), Clyde (Darlene), Marilyn (Kenneth) Warner, Jay (Marilyn), Robert (Sandy) and Karl (Vicky) and two sisters Norma (Ira) Jensen, Marie (Dean) Tipton, 38 Grandchildren, 93 Great-Grandchildren and 33 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex; son, Kenneth; Sisters, Mary Wilda Fullmer Rigby and Donnetta Fullmer Davis Berg.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Hobble Creek and Art City Care Centers for the sweet and loving care they gave to our mother and grandmother.

A viewing will be held Friday August 12, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville, Utah and Saturday morning August 13, 2011 from 10:00to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.

Funeral services will be held at the 5th Ward located at 245 S. 600 E., Springville, Utah.

Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
