She is survived by 2 grandsons, Richard A. Arter Jr. and wife Jane of Red Lion, Jacob Arter of York and step granddaughter Melissa Sheaffer of York. Great grandchildren Autum Arter, Austan Arter, Amberley Arter and Cameron Sheaffer. She was predeceased by sons David Arter and Richard A. Arter Sr. Sisters Catherine and Susana and brothers Albert, Daniel, and Robert.
Bertha was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster, the silver sneakers and club 2000. She enjoyed gardening and being with family.

Funeral service is Saturday July 25 at 11 AM at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with Pastor Martha Clementson officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster MD. Contributions have been asked to go to her Church at 21 Carroll St., Westminster, MD 21157.
