Margaret "Delilah" Stanberry, age 92, of Alvin, Texas passed away at Alvin Healthcare Center, Alvin, Texas. Delilah was born on January 9, 1917 in Alvin, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Faith Church. Delilah was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Stanberry; parents, Winston and Anna Botter; sister, Dorothy Willeford; and brothers, J.W. Botter and Stacy Botter.
Delilah is survived by her brother, John Botter and wife, Marjorie of Houston, Texas; 11 nieces and nephews: John Kent Botter and wife Karen, Joy Oblinger and husband Curtis, Carol Ford and husband Jimmy, Jay Botter and wife Martha, Jimmy Botter and wife Tawana, Diana Kovar and husband Stanly, Mike Botter and wife Bunnye, Margie Bowling and husband Richard, Barbara Willeford, Brenda Kubeczka and husband Alex, and Billie de Jongh and husband Jon; stepdaughter, Norma Doty of Smithville, Texas; stepson, Buddy Stanberry and wife, Doris of Katy, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives; and many special friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Scott Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Apostolic Faith Church. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the caregivers from Gracious Living, Regency Hospice and Compassionate Care Hospice.
