FLORA — Mabel Marie Dennis, 92, of Flora died at 12 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Flora Rehab and Healthcare, Flora.

Mabel was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Holcomb, Mo., the daughter of Franke and Hattie E. (Nash) Dennis.

She was an assembly line worker at Brown Shoe Co., Flora, and Airtex in Fairfield. She was a member of First Christian Church, Flora.

She is survived by her nephews, Ralph, Gerald, Jeff Dennis; nieces, Glenda Erwin, Linda Wiegel, Shirley Cox of Clay City, Mona Stanley, Ann Hinterscher; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl Dennis, Loren Dennis, Chlorus Dennis, Oren Dennis and Ralph Dennis in infancy; sisters, Irene Bailey and Esther Hilton; and sister-in-law, Mary Dennis.

Graveside services were held in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery, Flora, with the Rev. Ben VanHyning officiating. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, in charge.

Memorials may be made to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp, Flora.
