Natalie B. Phillips passed away peacefully on June 28, 2011, at Emeritus at Plymouth Beach, where she had been a resident since July 2010.

Natalie was born in Norwich, CT to Albert and Leila Bailey in 1917. She attended Middlebury College and transferred to Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, graduating in 1939. After several years at home she worked as a secretary in a high school office and library. While there she decided to return to college to get her degree in education, graduating in 1971.

In 1983, Natalie and her husband moved to Carver to be closer to family. She became a member of the Plymouth Women's Club, the Cabot Club of Middleboro and the Salvation Army Auxiliary. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, painting, her church and Cape Cod where she had a summer home. She was always surrounded by many friends and was known for her smile and happy demeanor.

Natalie's husband of 63 years, Harold E. Phillips, died in 2003 and her sister, Janet Lyon, died earlier this year.

She is survived by daughter Joan and her husband, Martin "Hap" Person, of Plymouth and Tucson,AZ, her son Richard B.Phillips and his wife, Kathryn, of Eastham, MA and Sarasota,FL, three grandsons Timothy Floyd, Brian Phillips and David Phillips and four great grandchildren.

A private burial was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Plans are being made for a memorial service to celebrate her life. Family and friends will be notified.
