Mrs. Carsen was a native of Winnsboro, LA., and had been a resident of Ocean Springs, MS., for 35 years. She retired from the Nursing profession after 35 years and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Tanner and Rose Marie Herlevic; and three brothers, Ludvic Herlevic, Vinco Herlevic and Fred Herlevic.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, John R. Carsen of Ocean Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Kathy) Sanders of Gautier and Julie Carsen of Ocean Springs; two sons, Richard Daniel Carsen and Paul E. Carsen, both of Ocean Springs; a brother, Nick Herlevic of Monroe, LA.; and two grandchildren, Justin Sanders and Brittany Sanders of Gautier.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 1999, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ocean Spring Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., and from 9 to 9:50 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 1999, at the funeral home. A 9:50 a.m. procession will leave the funeral home for a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery.
