May 8, 1938-May 9, 2012
Mary Amerson finished her race on May 9, 2012, and went on to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her husband, Boyd (Amerson), preceded her in death on June 23, 2005.
Mary Ellen Rowe and W. Boyd Amerson were united in marriage on Feb. 17, 1956. They had two children, Fred and Lynda. She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship for 30 years. She taught Sunday school and was also a greeter for many of those years. She had a love for gardening and a love for animals, but most importantly, she had a love for people, especially her family.
She leaves behind her son, Fred Amerson (daughter-in-law Debbie); daughter, Lynda (son-in-law Billy); grandchildren, Jennifer Pasimio (husband Jason), Holly Schneider (husband Jubal), and Michael Amerson. She also leaves behind two brothers, two sisters, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Thousand Oaks Healthcare, H & A Hospice, her wonderful caregiver Betty Harrison, and her sister Carol for the tender, loving care in her last days.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, officiated by Pastor Rod Ritchie, at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 2816 N. Sycamore Dr., Simi Valley, CA 93065. Interment will follow immediately at Simi Valley Public Cemetery, 1461 Thompson Lane.
