She was the daughter of Dana Snow McGinnis of Beckley, WV, and the late William Holroyd McGinnis.
Sally was born on Jan. 26, 1934, in Beckley, WV. She was a 1954 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley, WV. She also graduated from the Garfield Memorial School of Nursing, Washington, DC. As a nurse she joined the staff at University Hospitals of Cleveland in 1971 and served on many committees at and particated in support groups for families of patients with chronic and terminal illnesses. Since 1975 she had served as head nurse of the hospitals' kidney transplant unit.
Sally liked the outdoors and was a member of Holden Arboretum and the Sierra Club. She enjoyed horseback riding and had owned several horses during her lifetime, as well as a number of dogs and cats.
She worked for the protection of animals as a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Doris Day Animal Foundation, Humane Society and the World Wildlife Fund.
Other survivors include her husband, Raymond John Molson of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Dana Molson Iwaniuk and her husband, George Iwaniuk, of Goldsboro, NC, and Laura Molson of Cleveland, OH, and a sister, Mary Lou McGinnis Jarrell and her husband, Tom Jarrell, of Daniels, WV.
Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home, 4274 Mayfield Road, South Euclid, OH. Internment will be in Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the United Methodist Temple, Beckley, WV building fund, or the American Cancer Fund.
