Mattie "Lois" Mitchell, 96, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Matthew Stephens, and mother, Dora Whitaker Stephens.
Surviving are her daughters, Doris Thrower of Arab, Cheryl McGee of Arab; her sons, Steve Mitchell of Big Cove, Austin Mitchell of Arab, Phillip Mitchell of Owens Cross Roads; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Adair officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
