She was born in Cedar City, Utah on May 12, 1917, to Charles Joseph Bryant and Rosina Higbee Bryant. She married Frank E. Boyd in Farmington, Utah on April 7, 1940; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 13, 1954.
She is survived by her husband; a son, N. Kent Boyd (wife, Brenda); grandson, Jason; brother, Wayne H. Bryant (wife, Sylvia); sister, Nella B. Wood (husband, Mark); numerous loving nieces and nephews; and special family, Hiroko Asano, Megi Asano, and Ako Asano, of Torrance, California. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leslie H. Bryant.
She was active in many callings in the LDS Church. Her great talent and love was in teaching the youth in Sunday School, Primary, and MIA. She truly loved her students and was much loved in return.
Claire was an avid and accomplished golfer. Among her many awards is a trophy for second place in the 1965 Senior All-Church Golf Tournament.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holladay Twenty-Fifth Ward Chapel, 4650 South Naniloa Drive (approx. 2880 East). Friends may call Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), and 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
