Rosary for Jack L. Stackpool, 58, a trustee and business agent of Teamsters Local 174 and former pro football player, will be said at 7 p.m. tomorrow at St. Mark's Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.
Entombment will be at Holyrood, directed by the Columbia Funeral Home. He died Friday while vacationing in Lincoln City, Ore.
He was born in Chicago and attended the University of Washington from 1938 to 1941. As a football player, he earned all-Pacific Coast honors and honorable mention All-American.
He played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1942, then joined the Navy.
He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, the Oval Club and the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Patricia Burklund, Bothell; Diana Moya, Everett, and Brigid Stackpool, Seattle; a son, John, Bothell; three sisters, Margaret and Catherine Stackpool and Evelyn Neiman and two brothers, Tom and Jim, all of Illinois.
Remembrances were suggested to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center or to St. Mark's church.
