GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Roy Russell Vance, 48, a retired supervisor of Greenville, will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. He died of heart failure Aug. 28, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.
Mr. Vance was born Aug. 6, 1955, at Vaiden, Miss., to Harrison and Betty Vance Jr. He attended Vaiden public schools. He was a supervisor for Super Stop Store, retiring in August 2002. He was a member of North Gate Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He had been a resident of Greenville since 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Allyson Vance of Greenville; two sons, Travis Vance of Greenville and Mitchell Vaughn of Brandon; one daughter, Kristy Coleman of Greenville; three brothers, James (Joann) Vance of Jackson, Willie (Gail) Vance of Carthage, Texas, and Elland (Debra) Vance of Inverness; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
The Rev. James Dykes will officiate.
