Baptized as Adolphine Johanna Caroline Levenhagen at Hartwigshof. Emigrated with her future husband from Hamburg aboard the SS California on October 30, 1883, arriving in New York on November 19.

Married Joachim Karl Ernst Pahrmann at La Porte on November 23, 1883, and together they had six children:

Died of bladder cancer at La Porte on July 9, 1934, and buried in Pine Lake Cemetery on July 12.

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Pahrman, age 77, who passed away yesterday morning will be held at the home, 315 K Street, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at St. John's Lutheran Church at 2:30. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery with Cutler Brothers in charge. The body may be viewed at the home Wednesday and until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Pahrman, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Levenhagen, was born in Hartwigshof, Germany, Oct. 25, 1856, coming to LaPorte in 1883 from Luebkow, Germany. She was married in LaPorte on Nov. 23, 1883, by the Rev. Niethammer to Carl Pahrman, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Pahrman was a member of the St. John's Church. Surviving are two sons, Charles F. Pahrman and William H. Pahrman of LaPorte; a daughter, Mrs. Otto A. Kuberna of LaPorte; three grandchildren, Mrs. Dorothy Snyder and William and Evelyn Pahrman; one great grandchild, Ronald Snyder; three brothers, William and August Levenhagen of LaPorte and Carl Levenhagen of Oshkosh, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Koeppen and Mrs. Charles Hannemann of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews. A son, a daughter and a grandchild also preceded her in death.
