Mary A. Pisarczyk age 102, formerly of Valley View Apts., passed away peacefully Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Wingate of Wilbraham sur-rounded by her loving family. She was born in Barre, MA on March 25, 1909 to the late Lawrence Vincent and Theresa (Jachym) Pisarczyk. Mary was raised in and attended schools in Barre, Easthampton,Peterborough, NH and Ware, where she resided for most of her life. She was employed by the former Ware Shoe Co., before retiring in 1973. Mary is survived by her sisters, Patricia Diemond of Peterborough, NH and Helen Paquet of Miami, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Stella Skrok, Agnes Sweeney, Esther McGuire, Alice Lak, Bronislawa Holden and her brother John Pesarczyk. She was also predeceased by her nephew Kenneth Skrok, whom she raised after the death of her sister Stella. For the last nine years, she lived at Wingate of Wilbraham, watched over by a caring staff of nurses and aides. A devout Catholic, Mary enjoyed attending Mass and receiving weekly Communion from the compassionate ministry of St. Cecilia's Parish in Wilbraham. Mary loved her family dearly and lived a quiet life of prayer and contemplation. Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:15 AM from the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel, 66 South St., Ware. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, 60 South St., Ware. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ware. A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 9 - 10:30 AM, in the funeral home chapel.
