Mayfield Township Resident Dies

Kingsley - Mrs. John A. Schichtel 76, of Mayfield Township near Kingsley, died Friday night at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital after a lingering illness.

Eleanor S. Schichtel was born October 6, 1887 at Carey, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Frances (Pahl) Logsdon. She was a member of Hannah St. Mary's Church and Altar Society.

On September 2, 1913, she was married to Mr. Schichtel who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, George and Edward of Traverse City and Raymond of Kingsley; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Wilfrid Logsdon of Carey, Ohio and Raymond Logsdon of Tiffin, Ohio; a sister Mrs. Carl (Helen) Hansen of Kingsley; and many other relatives.

Her parents, four sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

The funeral mass will be sung at 10 am Monday at Hannah St. Mary's Church, Rev. Fr. Francis Karl celebrant, with burial in the church cemetery.
