TOMMIE D. McLEMORE, 78, of Bartlett, engineer for E.I. DuPont, died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Methodist North Hospital. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and services at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens.
He was a Merchant Marine veteran, a choir member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and a member of Dixie Rose Society, Holly Society and M.E.N.S.A., a master gardener and a 14-year volunteer at Methodist North Hospital.
Mr. McLemore, the husband of Jean Hillhouse McLemore, also leaves two stepdaughters, Alicia Van Gunda and Linda McAfee; two stepsons, Bill Nichols and Fred Nichols; two sisters, Marie Hicks of Jasper, TX, and Irma Brauninger of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, John D. McLemore of Kemp, TX, and Bobbie McLemore of Jasper, TX, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, whom he was very close to. The family requests that memorials be sent to Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
