Per 1900 US Census, William and Laura Smith were living in Montgomery Hill, Baldwin, Al with children Ada, Walter, Molie, Viola, Morgan, Norvie and Stella. In 1910 the family is living in Mobile, AL: William R and Laura with children Walter, Ada, Ollie (probably Mollie), Morgan, Stella, Annie and Laura. Census lists 9 children born to Laura with 8 living. 8th child is Norvie who appears to be listed as a pupil on the Alabama Boys Industrial School in Jefferson, Precinct 10, AL in 1910. W.R.
