CORA AMANDA STARK died in a Duluth hospital after a long illness. She was born June 20, 1892 in Wasioja Township, Dodge County, Minnesota to Franklin and Louisa Sanford-Stevens. Her father died when she was young, and she lived with her mother and older siblings in Dodge County until she married Haven "Jake" Stark on June 12, 1912 in Pine Island, Minnesota.
The couple along with their two children Wanda and Morris went to Montana to homestead and stayed there for several years. They moved back to Staples, Minnesota where Haven worked as a carpenter and for the railroad traveling to No. Dakota and Montana. Their daughter Wanda passed away on May 27, 1924 in Brainerd, Minn.
Cora passed away near her son, Morris in Duluth on January 23, 1968 and is buried next to her daughter Wanda and husband Haven. She is survived by son Morris and his wife Jessie and one granddaughter, Kathryn all of Duluth.
