The Middletown, Ohio, native was a member of the church's Missionary Society, senior choir, was department head of the children's division and was chairperson of Missionary Circle No. 1 of the church. She was a member of Fort Wayne Council of Churches, missionary department of the General Baptist State Convention, and pastor's wives division of National Baptist Convention.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. Clyde Adams; daughters Gloria Smith of Southfield, Mich., and Karen L. Adams of Fort Wayne; sons Joseph of Detroit and John of Southfield, Mich.; sisters Helen Hilliard and Loretta Hardeman, both of Bellville, Mich., and Lillian Huffman of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, Elmer Jones of Hamilton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters Anna Jones and Nora Jones and brothers Leonard Jones, Elijah Jones and Leslie Jones.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Union Baptist Church, 2200 Smith St., with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
