Lucinda Sterns Mullen is believed to be born in Upper Canada (now Ontario) to John and Lucinda (Banning) Sterns. She married Ebenezer B. Mullen, Jr., in Ogle County, Illinois on 1 January 1860. She moved from there with her family to Pilot Grove Township, Montgomery County in 1873. Ebenezer and Lucinda had four children who are Clark Albert, twins Emery (Bud) Oren and Emma Orel (Ray), and Bert Wesley. She died of heart disease.

Gravesite Details
Headstone condition in September 2003 is marginal. The headstone has a tilt of about 20 degrees. It is made of marble and lichen is beginning to overtake the letters and numbers. The smaller letters and numbers are beginning to be non-readable.
