Edward L. Hyde, 79, of Fort Wayne, an assembler for Dana Corp. for 27 years, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne native served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his wife, Betty; a son, Edward L. Jr. of Fort Wayne; daughters Nancy C. Maiden of Tennessee, Elsie M. Houser of Nineveh, Arlene R. Osborne and Charlene D. Frazier, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, Nelson of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in his death are his first wife, Kathryn, and three daughters, Sandy, Debbie and Darlene.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling hours from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons, 8325 Covington Road. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are to Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Information provided by D.O.
