Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a vigil will begin at 7:00 pm.
Bernice was born December 1, 1935, at Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Valentine and Elizabeth (Bachmeier) Braun. She was the fifth born of eleven children. On November 3, 1954, she married Henry Grensteiner and they had four children, three sons and one daughter.
She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends, being a caretaker to her grandchildren and many elderly patients. Bernice was known for her sense of humor and her ability to banter with everyone. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Bernice is survived by her husband Henry of Bismarck and her three boys, Gary of Bismarck, Greg (Laurie) of Roseau, MN, and Gordy(Sue) of Twin Valley, MN; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; her four sisters, Alvina Faith of Minneapolis, Chris Lippert and Betty (Dave) Dienstmann, Linda (Terry) Herr all of Bismarck, Ray (Anna) Braun and Victor (Linda) all of Seattle, WA, LeRoy (Colleen) Braun of Mesa, AZ, and Kenneth (Judi) Braun of Carmael, IN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sandra Mary and grandson John Henry; and her sister Seline.
