MRS. HINKLE
LaFAYETTE -- Mrs. Lena Slaughter Hinkle, 95, of LaFayette died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 at Bethany House in Auburn.
Funeral services are scheduled Friday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Revs. Wayne Barrett, Bill Hand and Taylor Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hinkle is survived by two daughters, Patsy (Jimmy) Thornton of Conyers, Ga., and Linda (James) Williams of LaFayette; three sons, Riley (Andrea) Hinkle of Suwanee, Ga., Raymond (Brenda) Hinkle of Social Circle, Ga., and Harry (Ramona) Hinkle of Marietta, Ga.; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Pinnell of Montgomery, Ala.
Mrs. Hinkle was born in Chambers County on April 22, 1909. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 13 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette.
