The native of Everett, Pa., lived in Pittsburg before moving to Concord where he raised his family and spent his retirement with the love of his life, Glenda. He said it was love at first site, marrying her just 6 weeks after they met.

He was the father of four: Daughter, Tammy of Brentwood; sons, Alan Crews of Kirkland, Wash., Kelvin Crews of Concord CA and David Thomas of Carson City, Nev.; brothers, John and Robert Crews of Copperopolis; and three grandchildren. His wife, Glenda, died in 1997.
