They had two sons, James T. and Melvin Collins and 3 daughters Helen (Paul) Theener, Ruth (Ted) Sperling, and Lois (Chester) Mayhugh. She married her second husband, Henry Orville Bowers. Feb. 12, 1944 in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO. They had no children
