"The wedding takes place at Coupeville this morning at 8:30 o'clock of A. Leslie Alexander and Miss Athaleen Harrington. The ceremony will be performed in the Congregational church. Mr. Alexander is a prominent young man of this city being foreman for the firm of McInnis & Harrington at their big contract at Fort Worden. The bride is a daughter of John (Tyler) Harrington, a prominent resident of Coupeville and sister to the contractor (Pearl Almo Harrington) of that name in this city. The young couple will make their home in this city."
John Luther Weedin, Athaline's second husband, was the Sheriff of Island County from 1899 to 1902. From 1905 to 1908 he was the Assessor of Island County. He also served one term as the County Treasurer, from 1909 to 1910. Luther later became United States Commissioner of Immigration for Puget Sound from 1921 until 1933. He operated a real estate and abstract office until his death in 1942. Fanny Athaline continued the operation until 1957.
