Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Feb. 19, 1920

Died-At the family residence in San Marcos, Mrs. Sallie (Harry) Hargis, aged 44 years. The remains reached here Sunday and were laid to rest in the public cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church, of which she was a member, burial services being conducted by Rev. R. L. Courtney. Numerous and beautiful floral offerings marked the last resting place, bespeaking the esteem and sympathy of the numerous friends. Mrs. Hargis was reared in this community, marrying Mr. Kerr Hargis, also of this place. They resided for some years in Houston removing last year to San Marcos. An invalid for months, she fell an easy victim to flu-pneumonia. To mourn her passing there remain her husband, who, with three of the children, are in a serious condition from the same malady, six children, five brothers, one of whom is J. S. Harvey of this place, a sister, Mrs. Lee Rarris, of El Paso, besides many other relatives. Remembering the Christian fortitude with which all her suffering was borne, come the words, "It is well with my soul. "

(HARVEY) HARGIS was a daughter of James T. HARVEY of Louisiana and Louise (DOYLE) HARVEY of Texas.

Her step-mother was Mary Milaina "Mollie" (WILLIAMS) KIRK HARVEY.

She was married to Kenneth H. HARGIS.

They were married August 22, 1897 in Gonzales County, Texas.
