Doyle B. McCullough, 90 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 12 - 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Mickey Dalrymple officiating, Bro. Sammy Crawford and Mr. James McCullough assisting. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. McCullough was born January 2, 1921 in Millport, AL to the late Floyd and Sally Blaylock McCullough. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS. Mr. McCullough was retired as a yardman with GM & O Railroad with 30 years of service. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and Columbus Masonic Lodge #5. Mr. McCullough enjoyed tinkering and trading cars, reading, and baseball. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCullough is preceded in death by his son - Doyle Banks McCullough; brothers - Billy Hal McCullough, Floyd McCullough, Jr., Charles McCullough; and sister - Bennie Sue Fields.

Mr. McCullough is survived by his wife - Lois Gibson McCullough, Columbus, MS; brother - James McCullough, Winfield, AL; grandchildren - Amie McCullough (Ryan) Ladner, Doyle Banks (Crystal) McCullough; great-grandchildren - Reagan Ladner and Colton Ladner; and pet dog - Ginger "Queen of the Walk."

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ward, Jerry Nail, Cecil Latta, Ryan Ladner, Billy Crossley, Ray Crosby, Buddy Easley, Virgil Kimbrell, Lee Roy Lollar and Winfred Sanderson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Linton's Sunday School Class of Fairview Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Columbus - Lowndes Humane Society, P.O. Box 85, Columbus, MS 39703 or Fairview Baptist Church Direct Mission Fund, 127 Airline Road, Columbus, MS 39702.
