Ernest Victor Campbell was born on November 1, 1890 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Robert Kelly Campbell (1851–1936) and Virginia Claire (Faircloth) Campbell (1855–1924.
A US Army veteran of World War I, he was married 1st in 1921 to Mattie Bodily Boyd (1896–1979), and he was married 2nd as the 2nd husband of Elizabeth (Hazelwood) Dobson (1912–2001).
A self-employed live stock bailer and living on Couchville Pike in rural Nashville, Ernest was 76 years old, married and diabetic when he had a heart attack and died on December 31, 1966 at Nashville General Hospital.
Survivors included his widow Elizabeth, sisters Mrs Daisy Mitchell of Gallatin, Tennessee, Miss Anna Lee Campbell, Mrs Emma Morgan, Mrs Norma Jackson and Mrs Blanche Caffey, all in Nashville.
Funeral Services were held on January 2, 1967 at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville.
