Addie C. Foster Geouge 1930-2011
Addie Clyde Foster Geouge, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30. Addie was a native and lifetime resident of Chimney Rock. Addie was the daughter of the late Rossie Clyde and Zora Foster. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lucy S. Foster, Aline Nanney, and Jean Foster along with her brothers Johnny, R.C., and Spencer Foster.
Addie is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Geouge of 58 years of Chimney Rock. She is survived by a sister Rachel F. and Daniel Nanney of Old Fort and a brother Cecil and Mattie Foster of Shelby, NC. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Addie was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church and loved the lakeside services. She also was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Chimney Rock Volunteer Fire Department. Addie loved the Lord and life and always had a positive outlook. She will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor and loved by all of those who knew her.
