He was born in Somersdorf, Dennim, Pommern, Prussia.

Biography of Gust H. Weber, pubished in "Jefferson County Wisconsin And It's People", by John H. Ott, 1917, 2 volumes, Chicago: The S.J. Clarke Publishing Co.

Gust H. Weber received his education in both Germany, and in Oakland Township. After School, he worked as a farm hand until he became of age. He then began learning the Creamery business, and was connected with that industry in Oakland for several years. In 1900 he bought a creamery at Elba (now Astico), Dodge co., WI. which he operated until 1911.

During this time, he also established himself in the lumber, cement and coal business in Elba. He purchased a farm near Fountain Prairie, Columbia Co., but sold it 3 years later, and moved to Hubbleton, Jefferson, CO. He became the proprietor of a well patronized general store, and was engaged in the lumber, coal, cement, and auto supplies business also. He was considered a leading merchant in Hubbleton. He also served as Postmaster of Hubbleton. He was independent in politics.
