Victor met his wife, Vitya Vronsky, in Berlin while they were both students of pianist, Arthur Schnabel. They became international duo pianists. Victor served in WWll in the Armed Forces. He received an honorary PhD from the University of NM and became the Director of the Cleveland Institute of Music in 1961 where he and his wife were on the faculty. They are both Steinway Immortals.
