Daughter of James Walter and Amanda Jane (Evans) Rhodes. Married Cecil Chester in 1934 taking his two daughters from a previous marriage: Geneva Lucille and Frances Elizabeth Chester, making them her own - she later had Jack Edward and Carolyn Jane Chester. She was a partner to her husband Cecil (Slim) in Chester Typewriter. She was also a cook for a daycare center. She was a wonderful cook and never met a stranger.
