Coston Burns, Pioneer Resident of This Vicinity For Many Years, Passes Away

Sold Farm Now Known As Burnstown To Tube Mill And Property Owner, Over Thirty Years Ago

ELLWOOD CITY, Aug. 21.--Coston Burns, of Burnstown, died at 7:30 Tuesday evening at the age of 88 years, one month and five days, from the infirmities of old age.

He was widely and well-known resident of this community, having resided her for the past 56 years. Over 30 years ago he sold a part of the section of land now known as Burnstown to the National Tube company, and other sections to residents, forming the small suburb of Burnstown.

He leaves his wife, Abbie Burns, and eight children, four daughters and four sons: Mrs. Abbe Burns, his wife; Charles and Emmett Burns, Lallie R. Powell, George C. Burns, Edith Burns, Clyde C. Burns, Etta White and Bertha S. Magnen. There are also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Robert Little of the Methodist Episcopal church of Ellwood City, August 22, 1929 at 2:00 p.m., with the funeral entourage leaving the residence at 1:30. Burial will be made in the Unionville cemetery in Beaver County, Pa.
