Born Friday, October 24, 1947 in Huntsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Eddie Weldon Broadway and Dorothy Shannon Broadway.
He was a member of Acts Worship Center in Hazel Green, AL and enjoyed fishing, working with flowers, and being with his family. He worked as a supervisor with Martin Industries in Athens, AL for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife: Delorse Ann Garrison Broadway, and a brother: Danny Broadway.
Surviving are wife: Sandra Faye Goodridge Broadway of Athens, AL; daughters, Vicky (Wayne) Marberry of Ardmore, AL and Heather (Curtis) Baker of Athens, AL, stepson: Jonathon (Amanda) Phillips of Rainsville, AL; stepdaughter Samantha (Matt) Hudson of Ider, AL; mother: Dorothy Broadway of Toney, AL; brothers, Sonny Broadway of Elkmont, AL, Dwayne Broadway of Toney, AL and David Broadway of Toney, AL, sisters, Debbie Bruder of Hazel Green, AL and Kathy Billions of Ardmore, AL, two grandchildren: Brandon Baker and Breanna Baker; and one stepgranddaughter: Mallory Phillips.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Pastor Glenis Sanders and Minister Renee Goss officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
