Mrs. Victoria Ottilia (Nee Lindgren) Carlson Anderson was born September 14, 1881 at Habo Skarlaborslan, Vastergotland, Sweden, the daughter of Gustav Lindgren and his wife, Maria and soon thereafter she was baptized. While she was just an infant, her mother died and she grew up, knowing as her mother, her stepmother whose name was Augusta. Fifteen years later, while still in Sweden, she was confirmed in 1896.
When about 18 years of age Victoria Lindgren, came with her folks to America, in 1899, going with them to a small farm at Groton, South Dakota. About 1902, she came ahead of her parents to Minnesota's Chisago County and found employment at the Dahl House in Chisago City.
About 1904 Victoria Lindgren was married to Charles Carlson of Center city, who was working for the telephone company here.
Four children, two daughters and two sons were given to this union. After a happy marriage of only six years,Mr Charles Carlson departed this life in 1910 since which time Mrs. Carlson (Whose name is Mrs. Anderson) has been a member of the Chisago Lakes church. While enjoying good health, it was not until the last few months that she had been in failing health and most recently she had been hospitalized. It was at Chisago Lakes Hospital where on Saturday May 23, 1964, Mrs. Victoria Anderson peacefully departed this life. She had lived to be 82 years, 8 months and 9 days of age.

For many years she had been a teacher in the Sunday School of Chisago Lake Church, center City, finding much satisfaction in active participation in the life of the congregation and of the Ladies Aid. Mrs Anderson was one whose tranquil spirit was unshaken trust in Gods strengthing to those who when her.
