Barbara Ann Ardoin
Barbara Ann Ardoin, age 61, a native of Crowley and a resident of Edgerly, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at West Calcasieu- Cameron Hospital in Sulphur. She was a Catholic by faith.
She will forever be remembered as a fun-loving lady who loved life. She loved crocheting, gardening, traveling and baking. She was a highly respected nurse at West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital for over 17 years.
She was the daughter of Wilson Duplechin and his wife, Juddie, of Ragley and the late Alta Abshire. She is also survived by her daughter, Connie Carter and her husband, Mike, of Glenmora; niece/daughter, Tammy Ardoin and her husband, Larry, of Sulphur; two sisters, Terri Bourque and her husband, James, of Sherwsburg, Mass., and Ginger Pierce of Lake Charles; one brother, Gerald Duplechin and his wife, Patty, of Ragley; and two grandchildren, John Michael Carter Jr. and Adam James Carter.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband of over 33 years, Ernest J. Ardoin; one brother, Larry Duplechin; three infant brothers; and one infant sister.
The family will receive friends 4-10 p.m. today, April 18, and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Christensen Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Brunnert will officiate. Interment will be at Duplechin Cemetery in Ragley.
