Anna L. Erickson was born in Sund Sacken, Sweden, Oct. 1, 1853, and came to America with her parents and brothers in 1868. She was united in marriage with Gust Aspegren Dec. 16, 1873, in Andover, Ill. To this union two sons were born, Albert of Lincoln, Neb., and Edmond of Saronville, Neb. In 1878, Mr. and Mrs. Aspegren moved to Nebraska, settling on a farm near Saronville. They lived on this farm for about forty years, then in 1918 moved to the home in Saronville where she passed away March 26, 1935, at the age of 81 years, 5 months, 26 days.

On May 9, 1930, her husband, Gust Aspegren, passed on; since that time she was given tender care by Mrs. Ellen Grannis.

Mrs. Aspegren was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden. When she came to America she joined the Sweden Methodist Episcopal church in Illinois, and with her removal to Nebraska transferred her membership to the M. E. church in Saronville on July 10, 1887, under the ministry of Rev. John Lundeen, and remained a faithful and devoted member until death. For nearly fifty years she loved this church and loyally served her Lord and Master through it.

Mrs. Aspegren leaves to mourn her departure the two sons, one adopted daughter, one brother, Gust Erickson, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held from the home at 1:30 and the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 28th. A large concourse of relatives and friends was in attendance. Burial was in the Saronville cemetery.
