War Dead Back.

Well-known ex-Young Oregonian PFC Ralph L. Williams was among the first Pacific war dead returning to this country when the army transport Honda Knot arrived at San Francisco. Williams, an ex-master councilor for the Oregon chapter of De Molay, was killed on Tarawa. His activity with Young Oregonians during the school term of 1938 was with the Pet Club, when Jack Spencer was club leader.
