A lifelong resident of Portage County, Frank Wojtalewicz, 69, of the Town of Eau Pleine, died at St. Michael's Hospital Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Wojtalewicz underwent major surgery Tuesday.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City. Burial will be made in Guardian Angel Cemetery beside the grave of his wife.
Friends may call this evening and until the services at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Rosary Society of St. Stanislaus' will say prayers at 7 o'clock this evening. His daughter, Mrs. Anton Kawski, N. Green Ave., Town of Hull, is a member. The general rosary will be at 9:30 p.m. Friday, following church services, at the funeral home. The Holy Name Society of St Michael's, of which Mr. Wojtalewicz was a member, will also say prayers at that time.
He was born in the Town of Sharon July 3, 1887, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wojtalewicz. He attended Sacred Heart School in Polonia.
Mr. Wojtalewicz was married to the former Eleanor Kawleski Feb. 16, 1914, in St Casimir's Church in Hull. His wife preceded him in death Feb. 21, 1955.
The couple lived on a farm in Sharon for two years and then settled on the present family farm in Eau Pleine.
Surviving, besides the daughter, Mrs. Kawski, are five sons, Ben, Eau Pleine, Leo, at home, Peter, 246 S. River Dr., Calerian of Hull, and Luke of 340 Cornell Ave.; 18 children; two brothers, Joseph, Sharon, and Anton, Hull, and a sister, Mrs. Peter Przybylski, Eau Pleine.
Two sons and two daughters died in Infancy. Two brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.
