Sports Broadcaster. Philadelphia radio and television broadcaster who announced Philadelphia Flyers hockey games for 28 years under the nickname "Voice of the Flyers". He called six Stanley Cup Finals, five All-Star games and two NHL-Soviet All-Star series; ended his broadcasts with "Good night, and good hockey". He was elected to Flyers Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. A graduate of Pleasantville High School and Trenton State College, both in New Jersey, he taught in several New Jersey school districts including Audubon and Lenape Regional. Died of an infection that developed following chemotherapy to treat a tumor.
