Priscilla Light Wilson, 70, of Barboursville, died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends love on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Priscilla was born on December 10, 1940, in Kingsport, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ernest Paul Light and Etta Sue Onks Light.

She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Priscilla, known for her smile, was a kind and gentle soul who touched many lives. She mentored many and found fulfillment in others' successes. She was inspired by beauty and loved to walk through the woods on her farm, enjoy flowers, quilt beautiful colors, and dig on her knees in her garden.

She was an avid reader and found peace in her spiritual studies and devotions. She was generous in sharing her spirit with all. It was her wisdom that was so dearly loved and while not sorry to go, she was sorry to leave so many friends, family, dreams and hopes.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilford P. "Bud" Light.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Van Wilson of Barboursville; one daughter, Piper W. Spohr and husband, Clifford, of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Dirk Wilson of Barboursville; nephew, Christopher Webster of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one brother, Bob Light and wife, Dianne, of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Alan Wilson and wife, Ingrid, of Jonesborough, Tennessee; one grandson, Caden Spohr of Jacksonville, Florida; adopted son, Donald Yates of Barboursville; adopted grandson, Cameron Yates of Barboursville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
