Anita was a graduate of the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, and was very proud of the distinction of graduating summa cum laude. Mrs. Gordon was a lifetime member of the National Education Association, the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, AARP and NARFE. She retired to Venice, Fla., where she was employed by Manatee Community College as an instructor in the Widow-to-Widow program and did freelance writing.
