Joseph Cluster Taylor, 80, of Rt. 8, Box 334, Goodwin Road, died Friday afternoon in Durham County General Hospital after an illness of several months.
He was a lifelong resident of Durham and was a retired employee of the Duke University maintenance department.
Surviving are
his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Dupree Taylor;
three daughters,
Mrs. Josephine Davis,
Mrs. Velma Madriaga,
and Mrs. Thelma Sutphis, all of Durham;
a son,
Billy Ray Taylor of Durham;
two sisters,
Mrs. Lillie Sykes,
and Mrs. Esther Whaley, both of Durham;
nine grandchildren;
and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
